Anniversary in New York

Our last (and fullest) day in New York: In the morning, we checked into our hotel...
Hilton on Avenue of the Stars
(view from our hotel room)

Walked around in the Upper East...

(Tiffany's on Fifth Ave)

(nice--and probably expensive--townhomes along Madison Ave)

Ate at a super-expensive Italian restaurant called Nello's for our anniversary lunch (long story)...

(this tiramisu cost $15!)

Walked to the Frick Collection, a small museum that was the former residence of Henry Clay Frick, a wealthy business man who collected lots of amazing art (Vermeer, van Eyck, J.W. Turner, Rembrandt, and lots of other old masters)...

(entrance to the Frick)

(my illicito pic of the interior garden--just for you, Joy!)

Walked back to our hotel, ate dinner at a kebab stand right outside the Hilton, and got ready for our evening at...

the Iridium Jazz Club

And that is how we celebrated our second anniversary in New York!
