superman returns

On a whim, Felicia and I decided to go watch Superman Returns this afternoon. I must say, I was quite impressed with it overall. I found myself really getting emotionally engaged, which is usually quite rare for me in a comic book movie. In terms of acting, I thought Superman and Lois were a little stiff, and Lex Luthor somewhat too maniacal, but there were so many breathtaking scenes. The flying didn't seem cheesy at all. And I really liked how the movie captures Superman's "alienation" and sense of alterity. Wow.
