We just discovered some suspicious droppings on our kitchen floor tonight. After researching on the web, our fears were confirmed: it appears to be rat or squirrel droppings. *shudder*

Thankfully, our landlord is coming Tuesday morning and says he will take care of it. In the meantime, my handy husband is trying to figure out how to seal this apparently big hole in our backyard that we suspect is how the creature got into our home.

I don't even want to think about the possibility of finding a dead rodent in my kitchen one morning.

We spent about an hour last night cleaning our kitchen floor (sweeping, swiffering, and then disinfecting by hand) and then vacuuming the house overall. Byron also sealed the hole in the back, and so far, no new rat droppings this morning. Will still probably buy some traps...
