family

I've been meaning to post for awhile, but got caught up with the busyness of writing. :)

There have been a lot of family events this summer: we went down to LA for a family reunion with my dad's side of the family in late July; my mom and sister came to visit in early August; and we had a bbq with Byron's cousins up north (too bad I don't have pictures of that event). It's been really nice to spend time with family, especially at the family reunion, which we have every two years. I got to see some cousins that I haven't seen in years.

Every morning at our reunion, we would do morning exercise for half an hour, led by my aunt. It was pretty funny.


The whole gang hung out at Carlsbad State Beach one afternoon. Here is my sis, my cousin Joyce, and me:


There was a ping pong table at our hotel, so there was lots of ping pong playing during the weekend. My mom and dad are pretty avid players. They even have "four star" paddles from China!

In the evenings, we would have sharing time: cousins with cousins and adults with adults. It was neat catching up with each other and praying for one another.

We also had large group time, where we got to play games and hear some reports from some of my cousins who are missionaries overseas:

Here are some pics from my mom and sister's visit. My mom was really sweet. She knew I was busy with writing and didn't have much time to cook, so she came up and cooked all of these great meals for us.
