It's official now: I am not graduating this year. I told the graduate student administrator this week, and also sent out the emails to all of my out-of-town friends. It was a hard decision, but I believe the right one. As I wrote before in a previous post, it is all about surrender. Surrendering to God when he will allow me to finish my dissertation, trusting in his timing, and just being faithful day by day.
I still won't attend retreat; partly because by the time I decided not to walk in my graduation ceremony most of the spots had already been taken up and partly because I still want to attend graduation to cheer on many of my classmates.

Awww, I was looking forward to coming up for your graduation, too. But that's cool. I'll be callin' you doc soon enough.
