big sur race and other things

i did it. i finally filled out my registration form for the big sur 10k. the envelope is sealed with the check inside. i'm mailing it tomorrow. i am committing myself for the next six weeks to train for this thing...did four miles yesterday for the first time in three years. super tired today.

also finished season 5 of gilmore girls tonight. i think i will rest a bit from the gilmore craze; especially since now i actually need to go out and rent season 6, and we all know how preventative inertia can be. maybe i'll actually go rejoin curves now that the dvd isn't beckoning me every night.

as for my serious post, here is a somewhat serious update: i'm looking for part-time jobs on campus. i had an interview yesterday for an online teaching position (which i don't think i got) and another interview tomorrow for a tutoring position. i've been scurrying around, preparing my cv and writing cover letters. not fun. it made me realize that i haven't interviewed much and don't know how this whole job search process goes, and am not all too great at answering interview questions. ah, the cloister of academia.
