andy and esther's wedding

We had a wonderful weekend in LA attending Andy and Esther's wedding! On Friday, Joy, Joyce, and I did our usual girly LA thing--shop and groom ourselves (haha)--and then we checked out French 75, a bistro at the Century City mall that specializes in chocolate souffles. It was really yummy! Joy and I stayed up late to watch Curse of the Golden Flower; it was interesting, kinda disturbing and weird, but definitely makes you think. Gong Li and Zhou RenFa were awesome. Whenever they appeared onscreen together, the intensity was really palpable.

The real highlight of this weekend was attending the wedding. It was so nice to see Andy and Esther tie the knot and be there to celebrate with them. We really miss them in our community group. So, onto the pictures...

On Sunday, we celebrated my dad's 60th birthday early, since we happened to be in town:
