byron was supposed to come join me tonight but his flight was cancelled. apparently there was some huge storm in the northeast on thursday or friday (hence my experience of snow), which caused many flights to be cancelled, and pushed all other flights back. he's supposed to show up tomorrow night; i really hope so!

i'll be all alone tomorrow. *sigh* usually i totally don't mind, since i've travelled a lot by myself, even in foreign countries. and there is lots to do in d.c. but it's just so cold outside, all i want to do is stay in. i am a bit sad to explore by myself, especially after three days of non-stop, intense thinking and discussion at the conference, i was looking forward to being "just myself" with byron. oh, well, c'est la vie. i guess i'll check out all of those art museums tomorrow...
