My laptop ended up crashing again and not reviving. I really hope it can be resuscitated eventually. *sigh* For now, I'm working on Byron's computer, although it's not ideal, since his version of Windows is older (so I lost a bunch of my comments when I opened up my chapter) and ergonomically speaking it suits someone who is 7 inches taller than me. Oh well, I'm trying to remain positive, just thankful that I was able to make a backup copy of my documents before my laptop crashed permanently. I just hope that I can persevere through these less-than-optimal working conditions and finish my chapter by Thursday like I was originally planning...

It's turning out to be not so bad working on Byron's computer. Once I replaced his "weird" (i.e. ergonomically-sensitive) keyboard with a normal one, it's been so much better (the former was driving me crazy). I realized that I'm just really picky about my work station and my writing environment. It's almost like I have these rituals and habits that I turn to in order to write. I need to learn how to be more flexible.
