I am thinking about signing up for the Palo Alto 10k, which is at the end of September. I have ran 4 miles once, and think I might be able to make it to at least 5.5 before the race. Anyone care to join me?

I've been thinking about the Jason Bourne series a lot lately, especially with The Bourne Supremacy coming out next week. I'll probably wait 2 weeks to watch it. I read all 3 novels in high school and remember thinking that the first one was the best spy story I've ever read. I was pretty disappointed with the new movie adaptations. I mean, if it were a movie on its own, I would like it, but to be based off of Ludlum and to leave out so many of the important plot points! First of all, Matt Damon is too young. Jason Bourne is supposed to be at least early 40s, I think. And they got the Marie character all wrong. Also, she isn't supposed to die in the second movie! She lasts all the way through the third one. Plus where is Carlos the Jackal, Bourne's arch-nemesis throughout all three books? I heard that they made The Bourne Identity into a TV movie in the 80s and that it's faithful to the original novel. Anyone with Netflix want to get it for me?

I've been craving Japanese and Korean food a lot lately. Specifically, Gochi! Haven't been there forever. I'm planning to go next week to celebrate finishing my chapter revisions (finally).

I just bought my ticket to go to LA for Labor Day weekend. I miss LA...miss the people, food, grooming services. Even though I was just there a month ago, I need another fix!

Lastly, I'm really looking forward to retreat! Only 1 more week, yay! :)
