k-soap

We got back from our week-long vacation Sunday night (will post pics later), and it's been right back to work. Things are busy these days, as I'm working on job applications and also putting the finishing touches on my dissertation. I made an appointment to file next week. That means in a little over a week, I'll be officially done! It seems so unreal.

I've been watching a k-soap that I borrowed from my sister. It's pretty good--funny, sweet, but of course really frustrating. There's always so much repetition in these k-soaps: same kind of plots, same characters, same events happening over and over again...so why do I still stick around to watch the whole thing? Because I want to see the guy and the girl eventually get together.

One of my biggest pleasures these days is to eat sour candy and watch k-soap at night. I know I shouldn't be eating the candy, especially since I'm going to see the dentist in a week or so, and I probably already have a cavity (I've had to get at least 2-4 fillings every year!), but I don't have enough self-control. For some reason, I've been really craving sour candy: sweettarts, sour patch kids, spree, sour straws, lemonheads. I told myself I would stop by the end of the week. :)
