Half Moon Bay Pumpkin Festival

I finally went to the Half Moon Bay Pumpkin Festival this past weekend! We had a group of five couples who got up early Saturday morning to beat traffic and check out pumpkin-themed festivities. It was crowded, even at 7:30 in the morning. We ate lots of pumpkin-flavored treats, visited many booths, and just enjoyed hanging out as a group.

we met the real Mrs. Meyer, of Mrs. Meyer's organic cleaning products fame--she was a nice lady and we each got lots of samples

loitering in the food court area, where we ate pumpkin pie, garlic fries, and pumpkin ice cream

These next few pictures are pretty funny. The Half Moon Bay Brewing Company sponsored an "alection," where customers could order and vote for which beer they wanted--an Obama ale or a McCain ale. Guess who was winning?

supposedly both ales are the same brew, but is it me, or is the Obama one a darker color?

you can't see the McCain ales in this picture, but I swear it was more of a goldish hue (hmmm...)

We had lunch at the Flying Fish Grill, which Byron picked out. They serve the yummiest fish tacos, worth a trip to Half Moon Bay in and of themselves! :)
