memorial day's weekend
super-packed, fun weekend with the LA folks. on saturday, we celebrated joy's graduation in sf. the stadium was packed.

here is how we amused ourselves during the two-hour plus ceremony: being really san-ba and taking lots of pictures of ourselves.

finally, the day ended with dinner at fontana's in cupertino, hosted by joy's parents
on sunday, i saw more of the LA folks after church. then at night, we had a mexico reunion because agueda, our interpreter, was visiting from philadelphia! it was a really nice night, with la bamba burritos, watching X-Men 2, and sharing about what we've been up to since the trip. i wish i shared something, but at the moment i totally blanked out. agueda is a really special person, one of the coolest girls i've ever met...i'm really glad God brought her to our trip!
today, a bunch of us went to watch X-Men3 in the theaters. byron had already been warning me that it would be bad, so i was prepared, but i was still pretty disappointed. some of it i found downright disturbing. i know that it's supposed to have a political edge, and is even considered a veiled political commentary, but the movie made too much of it, i think.
this afternoon was the first time the whole weekend where i had some alone time. how did i spend it? sleeping for three-and-a-half hours. i was exhausted. i'm still tired. now i need to spend some time gearing up for tomorrow and the reality of work again. *sigh*

It was soooooooooooooo good to see you all in Cali! Thanks for having the reunion and for all the sharing. It made the trip very special. I miss you guys so much :) Can't wait for you all to come visit Alberta!
