in taiwan

Hi, everyone. This is just a quick hello from Taiwan...I need to leave soon to meet up with some friends, but just wanted to report from over here. Right now I am in Taipei. Will be here for the weekend and then leaving on Sunday. It's been pretty non-stop since I arrived. Yesterday (my first day here) Joyce and I went to my grandma's "elderly women" fellowship and then to one of the members' homes for soup and snacks. We headed out for Taipei this morning.

I wish I could upload pictures, but I think I'll have to wait until I get home. It's much colder than expected, so I think I under-packed. I'm still a little jetlagged and have been sleeping less than seven hours a night, so I feel pretty tired (hence this disjointed post). I think only the first part of the trip will be busy; I look forward to more down time at my grandma's next week. So far I'm having a good time; it's great to hang out with Joyce all the time, and also see so many family friends here in Taiwan. I do miss Byron, though. :(
