thanksgiving week

For Thanksgiving break, it felt like all we did was eat and watch lots of TV (especially Chinese soap operas). It was a week-long celebration, starting with Byron's birthday:

birthday lunch with my parents on Tuesday

food from birthday dinner with byron's family Tuesday night

Then we celebrated Thanksgiving dinner three times. One thing that we did for the first time at Byron's house is have an extended time of family sharing before the meal; it was an emotionally powerful and blessed time. Here is an American-style turkey from Thanksgiving dinner with byron's family Wednesday:

On the actual day of Thanksgiving, we went to visit my uncle (mom's bro) in Diamond Bar, who is a great cook:

my cute dad sneaking a taste of lambchop that my uncle made

my uncle marinated this as well

the Su's and the Cheng's plus one Wang

On Friday, I had lunch with the girls at Marmelade Cafe, and then walked around the PV mall with them. Missed them so much, especially P from Boston!

Lastly, Friday night we had our own family Thanksgiving dinner, where we ate simple Chinese food, shared, and then prayed for one another. It was a really sweet time of fellowship with my family.

I'll post my actual Thanksgiving thoughts later...all in all, a great time with family and friends! :)
