ready

We are finally ready (I think): packed the bags last night, got the baby room together this past weekend (thanks to the help of family and friends), took out the car seat, received a rocking chair, and are just waiting.

This past week has been really hectic and stressful. On top of all the baby preparation (which Byron did mostly, I wasn't much help), we had to struggle with a major decision about next year. It still hasn't come to a conclusion yet, but is on hold for a bit, so I can focus on baby. I hope he comes next week! I know this is a major life change and everyone tells me to enjoy the remaining time, but I just want to get on with it. Especially now that we have everything prepared, I want him to come so I can start transitioning and experiencing, instead of imagining or anticipating. So I'm praying he comes next week, but only after my birthday...
