Not much to report here. This past week I had an awful meeting with one of my advisers, which left me very angry. I won't go into the details. Suffice it to say, I am still praying daily, "God, show me your faithfulness and your trustworthiness in my dissertation." I think he is trying to teach me something, especially with the bad meeting. I hope I am alert and paying attention.

I got a new cell phone--finally! After over four years, I have finally replaced my die-every-ten-minutes clunky phone with a new one. It's not a trendy RAZR, but still much better than the old one. I've been playing around with it all day.

I finished reading The Last of the Mohicans this week for the American Lit course I'm TA-ing for. Now I am in a total "frontier" mood and want to watch the 1992 movie with Daniel Day-Lewis and also Terence Malick's The New World. Anyone want to join me?
