highlights of today:

1. praise God, my paper went well! i felt like i read it a little too fast and didn't answer my questions very coherently, but i'm thankful that at least i got helpful questions. and that it's all over now!

2. it's so cold here it started snowing in the afternoon! i literally saw snow blanket the roofs of cars and create slush on the streets. so weird but beautiful.

3. i spotted an h&m down the street from the conference hotel (while i was on my way to potbellys for lunch--yummy!)...i know where i'll be spending some quality time this trip. :)
