1 year old
Our little boy is one year old today!
I can't believe that one year has passed already. Other parents have told me that it goes quickly, and it does, but it also doesn't. The days are long and slow, yet the years go by fast. This past year has been an immersion in that paradoxical experience of time--how it is both too fast and too slow simultaneously.
We didn't do a celebration today because we're waiting for next weekend, when dear friends and family from out of town are coming to visit. We have a little trip planned, plus cake and dinner. hope he enjoys it.
Here are some of his recent developments:
-He loves to dance, and will bounce up and down while sitting or standing. He even started wiggling his butt--it's hilarious!
-He can feed himself bananas, bread, and crackers.
-He loves all kinds of fruit.
-He is pulling up to standing.
-He loves to read.
-He is very smiley and giggles all the time, especially when we tickle him.
-He is babbling and making all kinds of sounds.
This morning...
