oakland zoo

This past weekend we celebrated Ethan's first birthday with dear friends and family, many of whom came from out of town. We went to the Oakland Zoo and then had dinner and cake at Mike and Joy's place. I'm not sure if Bao Bei enjoyed the zoo--he wasn't particularly interested when we pointed out the animals. He seemed

He didn't really like his cake, which was a yummy eggless cake. He stuck some in his mouth and then made a face. Oh well. It was great seeing everyone. Thanks for celebrating with us!
